What we are about

We started out trying to create a range of designs that looked and felt gorgeous whilst still having the ‘feel-good’ comfort of a traditional fleece.

We also wanted to produce the fleeces in a responsible way and tie back to our desire to support Nepal and the Nepalese people.

To this end, we found a production centre in Nepal who have adopted the socially responsible working practices outlined by the SA 8000 certification and sourced a polyester that was not only of the highest quality but also recycled. Around ten 1-litre used plastic bottles make one of our fleeces, bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill.

Inspired by the work of the Esther Benjamins Trust in Nepal (www.ebtrust.org.uk), a charity providing refuge and education for children who’ve been sold into slavery, abused or abandoned, we will be donating a percentage of our profits to help such organisations. In addition, in the long term, we hope to set up our own production centre offering support, training and employment to some of the women that charities such as Esther Benjamins Trust have helped.

Best wishes
